15th Anniversary Special | Mechanist Games at 15, Game On!

Fifteen years ago, Mechanist Games started with a small team.

Since then, we've made games, tackled plenty of challenges, celebrated some incredible milestones, and created more memories than we could ever fit into one post.

To celebrate our 15th anniversary, the whole team packed our bags for Macau.

Macau gave us plenty to see and even more to eat.

From the Ruins of St. Paul's to the Venetian, from Taipa Village to the Grand Lisboa, we spent the day exploring every corner we could.

The list of food everyone kept recommending grew almost as fast as our camera rolls.

For a lot of us, it was also our first time stepping into one of Macau's famous casinos.

And the most important event of the entire anniversary celebration is the 15th anniversary dinner!

The anniversary dinner was a chance to slow down and look back.

Old team photos, early company events, celebrations, product launches... and a few snapshots that raised the very reasonable question:

"Who thought this was a good look?"

Some memories get better with age.

Others just get funnier.

Mechanist Games is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

So are some of the people who've been here since day one.

Over the years, they've grown from new hires into longtime teammates. Along the way, many have gone from new graduates to experienced professionals, from newlyweds to growing families.

They've been part of our story from the beginning, and we've been lucky enough to be part of theirs.

Along with a RMB 30,000 travel allowance, our 15-year teammates also unlocked a commemorative 99.9% pure gold anniversary coin.

There were more than a few envious looks from the rest of the team.

Back in Xiamen...

the anniversary celebrations weren't over just yet.

The whole team got together again for an afternoon treat.

Fried chicken, the doughnuts everyone said were worth the wait, and a summer favorite in Xiamen: taro balls with tofu pudding.

Everyone received a 15th anniversary loot box.

No two were exactly the same.

There was plenty of guessing, comparing, and trading as everyone tried to see who got what.

Fifteen years have brought big changes to both our industry and our company.

There have been exciting launches, difficult setbacks, and more than a few moments where we had to go back to the drawing board.

Through it all, we've never lost our love for making games or for the people we get to make them with.

Because the best games were never just about reaching the end.

They've always been about who you shared the journey with.

Fifteen years in.

Heres to whats next.
